At the 10th annual Musikmesse International Press Awards, Spectrasonics’ Omnisphere was voted the ‘Best Software Instrument’ of 2009 and Vienna Symphonic Library won the ´Best Sound Library´ award for the fifth time for the Special Edition.
The prestigious MIPA awards are chosen by the editors of over 100 music industry magazines from more than a dozen countries. The MIPA has come to be considered the “Grammy” of the musical instrument/pro audio industry.
The Co-Founder of Steinberg Software, Charlie Steinberg won this year´s Lifetime Achievement Award and other winners among the 42 categories included:
Celemony Melodyne DNA for ´Most Innovative Product´
Roland TD-4 for ´Best E-Drums´
Native Instruments Kontakt 3 for ´Best Sampler´
Digidesign Pro Tools 8 for ´Best Recording Software´
Clavia Nord Wave for ´Best Synthesizer Hardware´
Waves Maserati Collection for ´Best Recording Effects (Software)´
