Classical male singer now available courtesy of Zero-G

Following the release of Sonika a year ago, Zero-G add another vocalist to the Vocaloid series in the form of a professional male classical singer – Tonio.

With a vocal register that covers both baritone and tenor, Tonio has a voice that will satisfy the most demanding of compositions. Full of unmistakable character, colour and charm, Tonio will hit those high notes every time with perfect accuracy.

Whether it´s soaring leads, harmonies or backing vocals, Tonio can sing any word from the English language (and other languages too with a little work). Tonio is also very well suited if you want to be adventurous and experimental, since his voice can be easily modified and shaped in many ways.

Exclusive! Chase & Status on using Spectrasonics in the studio

Unless you´re not a radio listener, tv viewer and a newspaper reader, it would have been a mean feat not to have heard mention of Chase & Status in recent months, particularly here in the UK.

For the past few months, the producer/song writing duo from London have been meticulously balancing their time between DJ sets, live tours, and extensive studio sessions whilst working on the much anticipated follow up to their debut album, More Than A Lot.  Along with the new single ´Let You Go´, the new album will feature their street single ´Heavy´, the critically acclaimed collaboration that saw Chase & Status fuse Dubstep, Grime, and Dizzee Rascal´s classic ´Boy In Da Corner´ to create the highly revered club banger of the year.

We heard that Chase & Status were using Spectrasonics Trilian and Omnisphere in the studio so we caught up with them to find out more…

Another dynamic move from Sontronics! Introducing the STC-80 QUAD…

Following the worldwide success of its STC-80 dynamic microphone, British brand Sontronics has announced the STC-80 QUAD, a set of four dynamic mics aimed at bands and studios.

These ruggedly built mics have had fantastic reviews in the worldwide press for their solid feel and amazing sound on vocals, speech, guitar amps and drums. They’ve also proved a huge hit with a massive number of artists, and are the only mic to be endorsed by rock legend Nuno Bettencourt and his band Extreme who use them for vocals onstage and in the studio.
